American Flag - This flag flew on an aircraft carrier at Iwo Jima in WWII.  The general told the private to take down the tatterd flag and replace with a new one, they were going into battle the next day.  The private stowed the flag away, it survived his entire tour and is now a cherished and revered family heirloom.
